| Inventory Accuracy |
Each item is assigned a unique identifying number. Transaction history can be reviewed by labeled unit. Tracking of an item can be done without human intervention (stationary RF scanners) and many items can be counted at once. |
| Visibility |
Real-time information is available when an item changes state. For example: Taken off of the shelf, picked for an order, received in from a truck, etc. |
| Security |
Since each item has a unique identifier that can be scanned by stationary readers, any movement of an item can trigger a security event. For example: An item is moved into a location that is not valid, a cold storage item is outside its designated area for more than x minutes, an item picked for an order is staged in the wrong location, etc. |
